Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior AR Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable (AR), collection management, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent analytical skills who can contribute to our financial operations and the overall health of our working capital. Key Responsibilities Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and cash application. Oversee and execute collection activities, actively managing customer accounts to minimize outstanding balances and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO). Participate in internal and external audits related to revenue recognition and AR balances to ensure compliance with accounting standards. Collaborate with the sales and accounting teams to streamline invoicing processes and resolve customer billing discrepancies efficiently. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to revenue and cash flow. Prepare and analyze AR aging reports, investigating and resolving discrepancies. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in an Accounts Receivable or Credit/Collections role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly related to revenue recognition. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data analysis (aging, collections). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially for professional customer interaction and negotiation.
