MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or Structural Engineering with design experience)
• 10+ years of architectural experience (licensed preferred) OR 15+ years without a license
• Strong construction knowledge and ability to prepare accurate construction documents
• Hands-on field experience — understands how projects are built, not just drawn
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills to train young architects and drafters
• Recent Revit experience
• Ability to work onsite daily in Marion, IN

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed Architect or Structural Engineer (not required if experience is strong)
• Future partnership interest — potential to become a Limited Partner
• Experience with nonprofit projects (churches, schools, libraries, healthcare, housing, community centers)
• Willingness to commute from nearby areas (must be onsite M–F)
• Familiarity with bidding & procurement processes for nonprofit clients

CONSTRUCTION KNOWLEDGE & EXECUTION

• Ensure drawings are practical, buildable, and cost-efficient.
• Conduct site visits, attend contractor meetings, and resolve field issues.
• Serve as a technical resource for compliance and design execution.

DISQUALIFYING FACTORS

• Unwilling to work onsite in Marion, IN Monday–Friday
• Lack of leadership or mentoring experience
• No recent Revit experience
• Limited to software skills only, without field or construction knowledge
