Our GEC is made up of more than 3,000 talented individuals working in offices across Philippines, Romania and India, providing Capability, Capacity and a Competitive Advantage across a wide array of unique projects and services, in collaboration with our global businesses.   Arcadis' Romania office is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join our dynamic Data Center team, contributing to a range of high-profile projects.  This role requires proficiency, focus, and independence in carrying out both assigned and self-initiated tasks. The Senior Architect is expected to work with minimal supervision, applying broad knowledge of principles and practices in Data Center Design to deliver creative and technically sound solutions. The role involves interpreting complex requirements, developing original design responses, and addressing the unique needs of various market segments. Strong working relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels are essential. The candidate is also expected to actively support team development, mentor others, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive workplace culture. Role accountabilities: * Embrace and demonstrate the Arcadis behavioral framework in your day-to-day work. * Prioritize your own safety and safety of others by understanding and following the Arcadis Health and Safety Principles. * Deliver architectural design outputs for data center projects, ensuring alignment with client technical requirements, operational needs, and program constraints.  * Develop and coordinate data center-specific architectural elements, including data halls, support spaces, ancillary buildings, and site layouts.  * Interface closely with MEP, structural, fire life safety, and civil teams to ensure integrated, buildable, and operationally efficient solutions.  * Support design development for phased construction, live-site conditions, and future expansion scenarios typical of data center environments.  * Participate in technical design reviews, coordination workshops, and client discussions, contributing to informed design decisions, and help maintain strong working relationships. * Review architectural deliverables to ensure consistency with project standards, authority requirements, and client guidelines.  * Contribute to the development and application of data center standards, templates, and repeatable design approaches. * Support the team with technical drafting and design tools like Revit, while offering creative design ideas and visual presentations. * Collaborate with global colleagues and project teams to ensure high-quality outcomes, maintaining clear and consistent communications across time zones and cultures. * Mentor and guide junior team members, contributing to a supportive, growth-focused work environment.   Qualifications & Experience: * Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. * Achieved Licensed status or equivalent. * 12+ years of experience, with a proven track record in Data Center and mission critical facility design, including large scale campuses and complex, multi-phase developments. * Strong interpersonal skills are essential to this role. * Proven capability across all project stages, from concept and test fits through IFC and construction support. * Strong understanding of data center planning, typologies, and redundancy concepts, and their architectural implications. * Experience leading architectural scope and coordinating with Structures, MEP, Fire Life Safety, and Civil teams.  * Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage design packages, and maintain quality, programme, and client expectations.  * Strong client-facing skills, including design reviews and presentations.  * Advanced proficiency in Revit; working knowledge of AutoCAD. Visualization tools are a plus. * Experience working with international teams and global delivery models.  * Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail Why Arcadis?
