Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Architect, Enterprise Technology to join our growing global team at Sectigo.
The Senior Architect, Enterprise Technology has a specialized focus on Application and Technology Architecture to bridge business strategy with technical implementation. This role functions as a strategic technical advisor who drives architectural transformation initiatives and establishes architectural standards, patterns, and practices that guide technology decisions across the enterprise. The position demands an architect capable that leads by example, navigating complex technology ecosystems while maintaining sight of business objectives.
This is a full-time and remote position. The ideal candidate should be in the Eastern time zone as a requirement.

Here are the core functions, responsibilities, and expectations for this role:

  • Assist in aligning technical direction with business strategy across the organization.
  • Evaluate and develop practices and approaches for critical emerging technologies.
  • Establish and document standard patterns and reference architectures for system designs, integrations, data flows, and reusable components.
  • Guide implementation decisions across the organization, balancing innovation with standardization.
  • Support technology rationalization initiatives to consolidate redundant systems and technologies.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and architectural approaches for potential enterprise adoption.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technology direction to business strategy.
  • Develop target state architectures and transition plans that balance technical debt reduction with business value delivery.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure consistency in architectural approaches.
  • Provide architectural oversight and guidance for complex, enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
  • Mentor technical leaders and development teams on architectural best practices.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Other duties as assigned and related to the nature of this role and company initiatives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with a degree preferred in Computer Science or related field is strongly recommended. Advanced degree(s) is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in solution architecture for complex enterprise applications is required. Ideally 7+ years of experience is strongly preferred.
  • High level of experience in technology development and delivery.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience across multiple technology domains.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, technology stacks, and architectural patterns.
  • Strong understanding of system integration patterns, API design, and distributed systems architecture.
  • Proven ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic business considerations.
  • Advanced knowledge of modern software development methodologies and practices.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and trends.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated architectural patterns.
  • Strong aptitude for systems thinking with ability to anticipate second and third-order effects of architectural decisions.
  • Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated ability to adapt content and style for different audiences.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILES, TALENTS, AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience leading technical transformation initiatives in large organizations.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, microservices, and domain-driven design.
  • Understanding of data architecture principles including data modeling and data governance.
  • Experience in evaluating and rationalizing technology portfolios in complex enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with architectural modeling or diagramming tools.
  • Experience with architecture governance in regulated industries.
