Description
Leads engineers and developers in the design, prototyping, and testing of software and firmware platform technologies, ensuring their readiness for deployment across products, ensuring the architecture is scalable across our value streams. Works closely with product architects to establish a unified framework for efficient transfer of technology platforms to development programs. Collaborates with product owners to define platform requirements. Provides strategic recommendations for innovative and scalable new platform opportunities, aligning with current technology trends and product roadmaps. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of professional experience in software and firmware architecture. Experience with product development. Expertise in both software and firmware development best practices and lifecycles. Proven track record in designing and implementing cloud-native architectures and microservices. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices Proficiency in programming languages: C++, C, C#, Python, Java, SQL, HTML, CSS. Experience with development tools such as MS Visual Studio and .NET Framework. Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns. Familiarity with container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Understanding of edge computing and real-time analytics frameworks. Expertise in SCADA, IEC 61850, and substation automation standards. Deep understanding of service-oriented architectures (SOA), microservices architecture, and database management systems. Knowledge of security protocols and best practices (TLS, OAuth2). Ability to lead cross-functional teams, align stakeholders, and influence technical direction. Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Visionary mindset with a keen eye for detail and a proactive, self-starter attitude. Understanding of the power utility industry and the various monitoring players. Experience in building scalable enterprise solutions. Experience with industry best practices. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and Agile best practices. Proven experience in an Agile environment, preferably as a product Architect.
