QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered Architect (AIBC) or actively pursuing registration.
  • 6–10+ years of relevant experience in an architecture practice.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit; AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • Solid understanding of the BC Building Code, zoning bylaws, and permitting processes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects independently and as part of a team.
  • Clear communicator with strong coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Interest in sustainable design and thoughtful, community-oriented work.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Architect (or Intern Architect on the path to registration) with strong design leadership, technical ability, and a collaborative mindset. This role offers the chance to take ownership of projects, guide less experienced team members, and play a strategic role as the firm continues to grow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead projects across all phases from schematic design to construction administration.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and municipal staff.
  • Provide design direction and mentorship to junior and intermediate staff.
  • Oversee production of permit and construction drawing packages.
  • Review shop drawings, coordinate site reviews, and issue field instructions.
  • Ensure design and documentation meets local codes and firm quality standards.
  • Support business development through proposals and client presentations (as needed).
