Position Summary The Senior Architect & Wellness Designer is responsible for the architectural design, planning, and integration of wellness spaces across TLEE Spas + Wellness projects. Combining licensed architectural expertise with a specialization in spa/wellness environments, this role ensures that every project is both aesthetically inspiring and technically sound. The Senior Architect plays a pivotal role in translating wellness concepts into buildable realities that align with sustainability, code compliance, and operational efficiency. Architectural Design Leadership Lead the design of spa, hydrothermal, and wellness facilities from schematic design through construction documentation. Develop architectural drawings, plans, and details tailored to luxury hospitality standards. Coordinate seamlessly with MEP engineers, contractors, fabricators, and interior designers. Wellness Integration Translate wellness philosophies (thermal bathing, hydrothermal therapies, holistic treatment modalities) into spatial and architectural solutions. Ensure circulation, adjacencies, and experiential design support the guest journey and operational flow. Advise on materials, finishes, and sustainable practices to align with wellness principles. Technical & Code Oversight Serve as licensed architect of record on select projects. Ensure compliance with building codes, accessibility standards (ADA), and LEED/sustainability criteria. Provide detailed oversight during construction administration, site visits, and punch-list reviews. Client & Team Collaboration Work directly with clients, operators, and brand partners to integrate architectural solutions into larger hospitality or mixed-use projects. Mentor junior designers in architectural best practices and wellness-specific design approaches. Act as bridge between conceptual design team and technical consultants to ensure feasibility and fidelity to vision. Requirements Key Skills & Competencies Licensed architect (NCARB preferred) with 20+ years of experience LEED accreditation or equivalent sustainability expertise Strong portfolio of built spa, hospitality, or wellness projects. Ability to merge creative design intent with constructability and operational efficiency Excellent communicator with collaborative approach to working across disciplines. Candidate Profile 10 years of experience in architecture, with at least 5 years focused on spa/wellness or hospitality. Experience working with high-end hospitality brands (luxury resorts, hotels, wellness centers). Strong leadership in architectural documentation, detailing, and coordination. Passion for wellness and sustainability, with proven ability to innovate in spa/wellness design.
