Description

The Senior Architectural Coordinator act as the Lead Coordinator of the design team and is responsible for leading a team of architectural BIM designers.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

  • Liaise closely with the Structural and M&E Coordinators to ensure buildable shop drawings are issued timely to the project site team.
  • Ensure drawings produced by the BIM team and sub-contractors are accurate and timely in alignment with the Project Master Program.
  • Identify shop drawings discrepancies, buildability, and impact on different disciplines.
  • Relate design intent from architect/design consultant to buildable construction shop drawing.
  • Ensure design intent on critical dimensions are highlighted; details are workable and coordinated with other trades.
  • Liaise with architect, design consultant, and sub-contractors on design intent and technical issues.
  • Coordinate between architectural team and consultant drawings to ensure consistency in construction drawings.
  • Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Minimum Degree in Architecture or relevant fields
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years’ experience in relevant industry, preferably to have been full time assigned on a project.
  • Technical: Coordinate and identify areas of concern with design intent
  • Understanding of structural / M&E drawings
  • Able to communicate with consultants in clear hand sketches drawing
  • Awareness of requirements of relevant authorities (ie.BCA, SCDF, LTA)
  • Awareness of contractual obligations/rights
