We are a growing firm known for our attention to detail, collaborative approach, and commitment to quality. We are currently seeking a motivated Architectural Permit Coordinator to join our team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Permit Coordinator will be responsible for managing the preparation, submission, and tracking of building permit applications. This role involves liaising with municipalities, clients, consultants, and internal team members to ensure timely approvals and compliance with municipal and provincial building codes.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Construction, Planning, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Minimum 5 years experience in building permit coordination, planning, or municipal approvals is an asset.
· Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and zoning bylaws.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively in a team environment.
· Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Revit Software

Responsibilities

· Prepare, submit, and track building permit applications with various municipalities.
· Review drawings and documents for completeness and compliance prior to submission.
· Communicate with municipal staff, consultants, and clients to resolve permit-related issues.
· Maintain organized records of permit submissions, approvals, and related correspondence.
· Monitor and report on application status, proactively addressing delays or deficiencies.
· Stay up to date with Ontario Building Code (OBC) requirements, zoning bylaws, and municipal regulations.
· Support the architectural and design team with administrative and permitting tasks as required.
