ABOUT THE JOB

Here at Ardmac we pride ourselves on being the contractor of choice for great clients and the workplace of choice for great people. We are currently looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to lead a team of Technologists across multiple projects. This role is critical in ensuring Ardmac design solutions are of the highest quality, delivered on schedule, and within budget. The Senior Architectural Technologist will take responsibility for the production, supervision, and delivery of design solutions, as well as ensuring a smooth handover of design packages to the construction team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

  • BSc. in Architectural Technology

Experience and Skills:

  • Proficiency in BIM – Autodesk Revit, Navisworks & AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and Design Standards, including BCAR
  • Experience in technical detailing and material specification
  • Understanding of drawing symbols and standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deliver technical innovation and value creation
Responsibilities
  • Review project specifications and scope and agree deliverables
  • Manage project design budgets and programmes using last planner and other planning tools
  • Ensure all designs comply with regulations and standards
  • Report output and productivity against agreed targets
  • Mentor assigned resources to support their professional development
  • Generate and manage technical aspects of subcontractor packages
  • Oversee product selection, detailing, and material interfacing
  • Raise and respond to design stage RFIs and COVIs
  • Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Plan design criteria
  • Identify long-lead materials to assist procurement
  • Attend site meetings as required
  • Assist with tender proposal preparation
  • Protect the company’s contractual position at design stage, including correspondence with the Design Team and subcontractors
  • Promote and protect Ardmac’s image and interests
