The Interactive Experiences group is part of Apple Marcom and is responsible for envisioning and building, best-in class marketing and commerce designs systems supporting the launch of Apple products, software and services on its digital platforms — places like Apple.com (http://apple.com/), Apple Store App, Apple Store Online, and Digital In-Store. We partner with teams across the company to create, scale, and deliver outstanding experiences that brings the magic of Apple products to every touchpoint of the customer journey. DESCRIPTION The Senior Art Director works under the guidance of creative leads, and in collaboration with other creative and technical disciplines to create considered and elegant design systems scaling from iOS to Web. They brainstorm, coordinate, and collaborate with a project team to explore concepts and iterate on design solutions. Their role requires creativity, systematic design, great organizational skills and strategic thinking to navigate ambiguous scenarios and complex stakeholder relationships. They follow the work from concept through production and delivery ensuring it adheres to Apple’s standard of quality. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS At least 10 years of industry experience in product design, product marketing or digital experience industry. A portfolio that showcases strategic insight, systematic thinking and visual design talent for a range of digital experiences including web, mobile, and/or app. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Excellent design and conceptual skills accompanied by the ability to guide, evaluate, and redirect creative development when necessary. Skilled with design software, including Sketch and Photoshop. Proficient with motion and prototyping. Basic 3D knowledge is a plus. Knowledge of web/iOS production and front-end engineering skills. Strong communicator with exceptional presentation skills, able to articulate ideas with clarity, engage in healthy debate, and accept directional feedback — up and down a creative organization. Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, creative workplace and to deliver quality work at a high volume in a tight timeframe. Experience building trust with multi-disciplinary partners on creative concepts and collaborating well with a team to find solutions to complex problems. Provides thoughtful guidance to junior creative staff, with an eye on mentorship and knowledge growth. Diligent, flexible, resourceful, and independent with a strong work ethic and organizational skills, willing to take risks, fail, and learn from mistakes. Demonstrates strong diplomatic skills to actively engage in healthy debate with stakeholders. Strong understanding of data science metrics and customer journey. Proficiency drafting and/or consulting on documentation like production guidance and end-user instructions.
