JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is looking for a talented Senior Art Director to join the Marketing team. In this position you will be a key contributor within the Art Direction team, whose role is to initiate and develop the creative strategy and delivery of a wide portfolio of marketing campaigns. You will be responsible for leading briefs end-to-end, working across model, stills and video shoots, managing external relationships with photographers, stylists and designers in addition to working closely within the wider internal marketing function. You will ensure each shoot is creatively powerful and aligns to our overarching brand vision, plus meets business goals and achieves optimal commercial impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute creative strategies for each brief to include but not limited to; campaign imagery, lookbooks, digital assets, advertisements, and retail displays
  • Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual language, ensuring consistency across all channels and campaigns whilst providing innovative ideas to further push the brand creatively
  • Manage all aspects of the creative process to include but not limited to; research, ideation, concept presentation, on set delivery and postproduction
  • Creatively problem solve within budgetary constraints without compromising on creative quality
  • Partner with the production team to identify best suited collaborators from selecting models, locations, and creative direction to enhance storytelling and brand positioning
  • Create, deliver and present briefs to the highest standard whilst staying current with industry trends, competitor campaigns and emerging talents, consistently incorporating fresh and exciting ideas
  • Direct and brief collaborators on set to ensure capture is in line with approved creative direction
  • Creatively lead the postproduction and cropping processes, and develop and implement style guides
  • Manage and prioritise tasks and projects, ensuring deadlines are adhered to and be flexible enough to adapt to changing priorities
  • Attend cross-department meetings throughout projects, and develop and maintain relationships with external agencies, photographers, styling, and other freelance collaborators
  • Maintain on-the-pulse industry knowledge and a global awareness of trends to build innovative and relevant creative ideas
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members
