Job Description:  Ninyo & Moore has an opening for a Senior Asphalt Pavement Engineer in Phoenix, AZ. The Asphalt Pavement Engineer will perform pavement design, subgrade thickness, pavement management systems, forensic evaluations of pavements, writing engineering analysis reports, create mix designs, evaluate materials used in pavements, review laboratory reports and specifications for pavements used in roadways, highways, parking lots, and airports. The successful candidate will also mentor junior staff; provide leadership, maintain client relationships; assist in marketing/business development; provide ongoing training to engineering staff; provide direction and review of engineering work products; and prepare, review and sign pavement proposals and reports. Education: Civil Engineering PE license; B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Civil Engineering with pavement emphasis or concentration required. Required Skills: The successful candidate should be a licensed professional engineer in Arizona with over 10 years of experience as a pavement engineer performing duties described above. A well-rounded background in civil engineering, strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and a track record of successful client relationships and service are required. Candidate should have a thorough understanding and knowledge of pavement engineering. The ideal candidate will have work experience with construction and paving activities. Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
The Senior Asphalt Pavement Engineer will perform pavement design, manage pavement systems, and conduct forensic evaluations. They will also mentor junior staff and maintain client relationships while assisting in marketing and business development.
