Description
Is this your next role? You’ll manage a portfolio of Asset Management customers showing early signs of credit risk deterioration. You’ll design and implement tailored action plans aimed at either rehabilitating the customer or managing an orderly exit within an agreed timeframe. Working closely with Credit Risk Analysts, you’ll oversee and prepare high‑quality credit submissions that support sound, well‑reasoned decisions. In addition to managing your portfolio, you’ll assist the Head of Asset Management with strategy development and governance activities, contributing to the ongoing evolution and effectiveness of the AM framework. You will also deputise for the Head of Asset Management when required, providing senior oversight, continuity, and decision‑making support across the team. Does this sound like you? With well-developed financial analysis skills, you're an experienced banking or finance professional. Skilled at building relationships, you're a great communicator and problem solver. Given the complexity and strategic nature of this role, you’ll bring experience as a Senior Relationship Manager or Senior Manager in a similar environment. You’ll demonstrate strong strategic thinking and advanced problem‑solving capability, operating at a level beyond standard Asset Management responsibilities to anticipate emerging risks and influence outcomes. You're a pro: 5 or more years of experience in rural banking, business banking, finance company or accounting background Relationship management, lending and credit risk experience at a senior level Sound knowledge of accepted credit processes and policy in a banking or finance environment Comprehensive understanding of problem credit accounts and relevant remedies and actions Credit restructuring and/or insolvency experience preferred, including managing professional advisors A bit about us and what we do Heartland is an NZX/ASX-listed financial services group with big growth plans.
