[What the role is] The CDA is a new government agency that is being established by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to oversee Singapore’s communicable disease preparedness, prevention and control, surveillance, risk assessment and outbreak response. The One Health Office’s role is to drive and improve One Health coordination and collaboration at the national level with key stakeholders. As a SAD/DD One Health Office of CDA, you will support Director(One Health Office) and have the opportunity to lead the establishment and building of Singapore’s One Health capabilities by driving and implementing the initial strategic workplans, building and maintaining partnerships with One Health local and overseas agencies and partners, and setting processes to incorporate One Health principles across whole-of-government. You will be working in a dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time. [What you will be working on] Lead activities to develop, implement, and review the overall framework for One Health plans of actions for communicable diseases to safeguard public health and reduce incidence and impact of endemic and emerging diseases in Singapore. Lead the development of national One Health research and surveillance programmes of endemic and emerging communicable diseases of One Health priority, which will inform prevention and control policies and strategies. Implement capability development efforts in One Health workforce core competencies. Establish technical advice and consultation workflows on One Health related issues and matters, and represent Singapore on One Health issues. Collaborate with One Health partners to define strategic priorities and initiatives, and spearhead the implementation and monitoring of progress. Stay abreast of trends, best practices, and directions relating to One Health [What we are looking for] Relevant postgraduate qualifications (MSc, PhD) or certifications in public health or One Health related disciplines with a degree in medicine, veterinary medicine, environmental health, public health, epidemiology preferred. At least 8 years of relevant experience in managing public health or One Health related programmes and initiatives. Preferably minimum 3 years leadership experience e.g., at managerial or supervisory positions in a public health, One Health, or related fields and in a similar role in the public sector. Possess leadership, managerial and organizational skills to lead and manage collaborative activities with a team of public health and One Health professionals effectively. Possess sufficient public or One Health expertise and knowledge to interact effectively with local and international experts and assess scientific evidence. Possess strong analytical capabilities and capacity to think about issues comprehensively and systematically, to identify opportunities and risk implications and translate them into One Health actionable strategies. Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills to drive effective collaborations with stakeholders within and outside of the agency.
