You will be responsible for the following:

Project Management

  • Oversee planning and development projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
  • Oversee architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to achieve project objectives.

Policy Formulation and Analysis

  • Analyse and recommend policy frameworks and strategies to support divisional objectives.
  • Evaluate existing policies and propose revisions or new policies as needed.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and industry trends to ensure policies remain current and compliant.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop long-term and short-term strategic plans to guide organisational growth and development.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate strategic initiatives into operational plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of strategic plans, adjusting as necessary to achieve goals.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyse data related to demographics, land use, economic trends, and environmental factors to inform planning decisions.
  • Sense-making of reports and clear presentations for senior management, board members, and external stakeholders.

The Senior Assistant Director will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing strategic initiatives related to planning, development, and policy formulation related to the after-death facilities and services in the management of bodies, particularly for crematoria and Choa Chu Kang cemetery. This role requires a deep understanding of urban planning, economic development, and policy analysis to influence decision-making processes effectively. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, religion groups, relevant associations, communities, and internal divisions, to develop comprehensive plans and policies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
