For more information on our EDI strategy and values, click here The Role and Department The International Office is responsible for: The recruitment of international students to all areas of the university to meet institutional targets Supporting and managing the developing of international partnerships to raise the University’s global profile and to support academic colleagues in developing international links and collaborations Managing the university’s student mobility programmes (Erasmus+ and other exchange partnerships) to meet the University’s student mobility targets This full-time fixed term role will mainly involve supporting the team of International Administrators with increased workload during this period. The role involves data handling, responding to basic queries in multiple inboxes and general administrative support. Being able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail is essential. Post holders will also require a high level of customer care skills and a need to demonstrate cultural sensitivity when communicating with a variety of different people from across the globe. What you need to demonstrate when you apply To be considered for this role, here are the skills/experience we’re looking for: Qualifications/Experience 1. Five GCSEs at least Grade C or level four (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics or equivalent experience. 2. Experience of working in a team delivering customer-focused administrative services or having relevant qualifications for the role. 3. Experience of managing time to meet deadlines. Skills/Abilities/Knowledge 4. Good spoken and written communication skills. 5. Good digital skills including experience in using digital devices and apps including the internet, email, digital communication tools, Microsoft 365 applications, digital booking systems. 6. Committed to training/continuing professional development. 7. Ability to solve problems as part of a team and resolve straightforward issues. 8. Ability to provide advice and guidance to a range of colleagues and customers. Desirable Criteria Experience of using Banner (student registration system) or similar.
