The Registry is a key central administrative unit of the University supporting it in providing quality higher education. We administer and deliver a broad range of student and academic services, such as admissions, registration, quality assurance, class scheduling, examinations, and graduation. The Registry is also responsible for maintaining student records and providing secretarial support to Senate and its committees, and are integral in the governing of academic regulations of the University. We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Registry: Major Duties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Registrar, the appointee shall be responsible for the following: Leading the Enrolment section of the Registry, actively engaging in undergraduate enrolment, academic advising, class scheduling and tutor functions; Managing the administration and operations in respective areas to provide client-focused services to students and internal/external stakeholders, with a hands-on approach to daily operations; Ensuring compliance with university policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining high standards of quality assurance and timely delivery in all enrollment-related processes; Analyzing enrollment data and trends to inform decision-making, ensuring students success, and preparing reports for senior management and/or stakeholders; Driving improvements in systems and work processes to enhance operational efficiency and service quality, actively implementing technological solutions to enhance service delivery; Nurturing a positive work culture that promotes collaboration, synergy and continuous improvement, while overseeing staff development, training, and succession planning to build a high-performing team; Assisting the Registrar in policy development and implementation, budgeting, manpower and resources planning, and risks mitigation; Providing executive support to committees and working groups; Taking up any other duties as assigned, with a proactive and hands-on attitude. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competencies: A recognized degree, preferably a higher degree, with solid administrative experience in tertiary education and a successful track record of staff management; Substantial post-degree experience in Registry functions especially in the enrolment, advising, student record and class scheduling areas; Demonstrated strategic foresight and a vision for enhancing excellence in student services and a proven ability to work effectively with staff and students; Proven ability to adapt and to work highly effectively in a multi-tasked environment under high pressure with high volume of work; Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; A high level of competence in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and Strong computer literacy and numeracy skills.
