Job Purpose: We are looking for a highly motivated Operational Risk Specialist to join our Ops COO - Operational Risk Management team. This key role will focus on New Product Approval and Third-Party Risk Review, supporting the appointed Group Operations Sign-off Party Champion to facilitate Group Ops sign-off party in reviewing and signing off initiatives timely. Ensure all relevant teams within Group Ops units are engaged and represented in NPA and External Outsourcing Risk Review meetings with proposing unit to timely address questions/clarifications Be able to represent Group Operations to negotiate and agree with proposing unit on the turn-around time (TAT) to complete the review and signoff of the initiatives. Ensure that internal sign-offs Group Operations Units are provided within the agreed TAT and providing support to manage the proposing unit for matters relating to initiative signoffs. Escalate issues and blockers encountered to sign-off party NPA Champion. Key Accountabilities: 1) Support NPA and TPRR review and sign-off. 2) Design a monitoring flow to track NPA post-launch issues. 3) Advising Operations on TPRR process best practice and implementation Job Responsibilities: 1. Support Sign-off Group on NPA and TPRR initiatives sign-off Able to complete and formulate the final risk assessment to recommend for SOG approval. 2. Guide Third-Party Risk Reviews and Facilitate Approvals Assist operations teams with Third-Party Risk Assessments and facilitate final approvals from the designated Group Ops authority. 3. Active participation in NPA kick-off meeting Contribute to initiatives discussion and be able to represent Group Ops stakeholders and follow through actions. Requirements: Minimum 6 years of experience in an Operations or Operational risk management role, preferably in a banking or financial institution. Ability to manage, influence and communicate effectively with different stakeholders Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and fast changing environment and keep pace with rapid changes in business Strong analytical skills to review and analyse data, savvy with usage of data visualisation tools eg Qlikview or Tableau Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools in Word, Excel and Powerpoint Location: DBS Asia Hub Job: Risk Management Schedule: Regular Employee Status: Full time DBS is more than a bank — we're shaping the future of finance and communities.
