CANDIDATE PROFILE

Suitable candidates will be Australian or dual qualified and have experience gained in an international or leading national firm.

• 5-6 years PQE which is ideally insurance litigation experience
• Experience across the d efence of directors’ and officers’ liability and professional indemnity insurance claims, defeding claims involving large construction projects, product and public liability claims, multi-party litigation, class actions
• Prior experience working on litigation matters and defeding claims in all courts and tribunals in Australia, and a commitment to technical excellence.
• Commercial awareness and confidence in building a rapport with clients to gain a better understanding of their business’ needs and with the assistance of the partner, actively developing these client relationships.

Offering variety, you will be working across a range of contentious insurance matters including in general insurance, life insurance, professional indemnity, financial lines, directors’ and officers’ coverage and defence work, medical indemnity, personal injury, public and products liability, regulatory and indemnity advice. The client base is wide and includes acting for all major Australian insurers and many international insurance underwriters.
