The Role Through your role you will be responsible on the following areas: Develops, implements and maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Provides a record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. The salary range starts at 1900 EUR gross per month. The final salary offer reflects the set of skills and experience that selected candidates bring to the team. Who You Are Required Qualifications University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (local accounting certification is a strong advantage). Solid experience in Bulgarian statutory accounting and local bookkeeping. Strong knowledge of Bulgarian GAAP, tax requirements, and statutory compliance obligations. Experience working with monthly accounting cycles and local ledger maintenance. Ability to understand and reconcile differences between local GAAP and US GAAP. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with ERP systems (SAP preferred). High attention to detail and ability to work with tight deadlines and regulatory timelines. Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with both local and global stakeholders. Fluency in Bulgarian and English required. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting statutory audits and tax audits in Bulgaria. Exposure to multinational environments and group reporting structures. Familiarity with SAF-T reporting requirements and local compliance frameworks. Experience in process improvement or transition of accounting activities from external providers.
