Description Name of Employer: Advantage Capital Management Corporation Position Title: Senior Associate Position Location: 156W 56th St, Ste 1204, New York, NY 10019 Salary: $155,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Summary of Duties: Evaluate potential equity and/or debt investments in operating companies in various industries, which provide a measurable impact alongside financial return. Meet with management and conduct on-site due diligence as part of the investment process. This entails travel across the United States a few days per month. Work alongside junior and senior colleagues on deal teams during the due diligence process, underwriting, and closing of various types of transactions including subordinated debt, senior debt, venture capital, and growth equity. Prepare financial models and helping craft and pitch investment presentations for internal committee approval. Conduct portfolio-company monitoring and value-added activities (i.e. quarterly reviews, board calls, follow-on investments). Represent Advantage Capital on portfolio company boards in Director and Observer roles. Learn the program structures of New Market Tax Credits, Solar, Rural Jobs & Investments Act and other state and federal economic development programs. Work with legislative and compliance team to capture investment impact and job data. Education requirements: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management Science or closely related field Experience requirements:2 years of experience in finance, investment banking, private equity or closely related field. Special Skills or Other Requirements: Must have experience with each of the following: 1. Prepare financial models and investment memorandums and pitch to investment committees for approval. 2. Utilize Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word). 3. Experience in performing financial statement analysis. 4. Investment due diligence in operating companies in various industries, which provide a measurable impact alongside financial return. Travel requirements: Up to 30% U.S. domestic travel.
