Description
We are seeking an experienced investment professional with 5–10 years of mutual fund and investment manager research experience to act as a manager researcher, supporting and leading fund assessments, investment strategy due diligence, and ongoing monitoring activities. The role requires conducting in-depth due diligence on investment managers and their strategies, including meetings with portfolio managers, to assess investment philosophy, process, performance, and overall investment capabilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating active and passive strategies, forming independent investment views, and providing clear, well-structured reporting and recommendations to various investment and governance committees in support of institutional and wealth platform decision-making. The level of responsibility and seniority will be calibrated based on the candidate’s years of experience and proven track record. Position Responsibilities: Conduct excellent on-going quantitative and qualitative research; investment manager analysis; and due diligence on portfolios and managers under different investment strategies and asset classes to ensure the success of strategies that are covered, and resolve any issues which may arise Maintain a consistent approach in clearly identify return/ risk drivers and develop value propositions in fund recommendation in line with policies and procedures and enhance processes to improve efficiency, quality and production capacity and enhance processes to improve efficiency, quality and production capacity Develop a center of expertise that aligns with the global manager research team globally and adds value to the Asia's Global Wealth and Asset Management businesses through excellent investment manager analysis and foster strong work relationship with our key stakeholders across the company and industry Serve as the internal subject matter for the local and regional open or managed architecture investment platforms in Asia with regular boards and committees responsibilities to advise product selection, conduct platform analysis, support business growth and strategic initiatives & recommendations. Work on other ad-hoc projects as assigned Required Qualifications: Post graduate degree, CFA preferred Minimum 5-10 years of investment manager / mutual fund research assessment Highly developed leadership, communication, writing, interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills Ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both verbal and written communication in both English, and Mandarin &/Cantonese. Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to multitask projects with stakeholders globally in a fast-paced & changing environment both independently & collaboratively in a timely manner Must be a team player and agile in working independently with high accuracy on the deliverables Knowledge of wealth, retirement or investment-linked insurance scheme platforms across Asia preferred Proficient with Morningstar Direct, Lipper, Bloomberg and other research packages When you join our team: We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.
