POSITION OVERVIEW:

Daemen University is seeking a Senior Associate Athletics Director for Business Operations to join our Athletics Executive Leadership Team. Under general supervision, this position provides executive administrative, leadership, and organizational support to the Vice President for Athletics, the Office of Business Affairs, and Daemen Athletics. The role is instrumental in driving strategic planning, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring compliance with university, conference, and NCAA regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business management, accounting, and customer service, along with exceptional organizational skills. This position requires regular interaction with university leadership, coaching staff, student-athletes, stakeholders, and the public.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in business operations, financial management, or athletics administration.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, reporting, and compliance processes.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement strategic planning processes within the Athletics Division.
  • Improve operational efficiency across the department.
  • Oversee business operations, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Manage ticketing, concessions, and athletic apparel contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA and university financial policies.
  • Support athletics development, donor relations, and sponsorship initiatives.
  • Supervise assigned sports programs, including Women’s Volleyball, Women’s Bowling, and Men’s & Women’s Tennis.
  • Assist in coordinating facility rentals, fundraising events, and annual reporting.
  • Act as a liaison between Athletics and the Office of Business Affairs.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold NCAA regulations.
