JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Associate is tasked with ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records by recording financial transactions accurately and promptly. This role includes managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, checking compliance to policies and procedures, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (SFRS or IFRS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of applications (Excel, PowerApp), Data Analytics tools and SAP is essential.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as internal reporting packages.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures, and act as a contact point for queries.
  • Report exceptions related to non-compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
  • Provide support and guidance to offshore team members as needed.
