ABOUT THE ROLE You’ll operate at the intersection of insurance, pricing, and product, owning some of the most critical levers of the business — what we sell, how we price it, and how we win in the market. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Product Pricing & Rater Builds * Own Plum’s core EB product raters end-to-end — the engine that drives how we win in the market. * Design and refine pricing, benefits, and revenue constructs that are best-in-market across segments. * Continuously recalibrate raters in line with insurer pricing, claims experience, and market shifts. * Work directly with Tier 1 insurer partners to ensure every quote is both competitive and executable. * Set the benchmark for what “great” looks like in EB pricing — and raise it over time. Product Improvements & New Launches * Build tight feedback loops with sales and marketing to identify product gaps and friction points. * Convert ambiguous on-ground signals into structured product opportunities and clear briefs. Own 0→1 product builds — from problem definition and product design to pricing, insurer alignment, and first placements. * Simplify product structures, clarify coverage terms, and ensure what we sell, price, and deliver remain tightly aligned. * Work with insurers and internal teams to streamline policy issuance workflows and reduce delays in the customer journey.
