The Opportunity Working alongside industry-leading Partner Lina Fischer, we have a rare growth opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our busy, thriving front-end Major Projects and Construction team in Sydney. This role will see you acting for a wide range of public and private sector clients across the rail, road, water, energy and building industries. As a Senior Associate, you will play a lead role advising on the procurement, structuring and delivery of high value, complex major construction and infrastructure projects nationally. This Band-1 ranked team has an exemplary track record of leading on many of Australia's largest city-shaping construction and infrastructure projects, such as the Sydney Metro and the Hunter Transmission Project. This is a high-performing yet collegiate, friendly and dynamic team who share a genuine passion for their work. What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have: 5+ years post-admission experience as a lawyer, with demonstrated time spent in a senior associate (or equivalent) role gained in a reputable commercial law firm and / or inhouse; Strong background in advising on front-end construction projects, with exceptional technical legal skills (in particular, contract drafting); The ability to take a lead role on matters with autonomy and minimal oversight, project managing confidently and efficiently; A team player attitude with a passion for supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and working collaboratively with other practice groups; Well-developed commercial awareness.
