Job Title: Senior Associate, Mechanical EngineerJob Code: 30603Job Location: Plano, TX (Onsite)Job Schedule:  9/80 Job Description: Mechanical Design Engineer will participate in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical systems installations. Engineer applies basic engineering design and/or analytical theory with understanding of structural analysis for application to integrated system design. Essential Functions: Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance Responsible for research, development of layouts, preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost.  Designs will be accomplished using world-class, three-dimensional solid modeling CAD tools and work will be accomplished with senior-level design engineers. Mechanical design engineers have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on various aircraft platforms. Ability to walk to and from the flight line, work in aircraft hangar environment and board/exit aircraft is required. Willingness and abiliity to travel up to 10%, if necessary   Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical/Civil Engineering or similar and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Must be a U.S. citizen Preferred Additional Skills: CAD skills are highly desired Understanding of basic aircraft systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office   #LI-AS1
