Your role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior technology lawyer to join our Office of General Counsel team. This role involves identifying, and advising on, risk and compliance issues throughout the firm and coordinating the implementation of initiatives and strategies to address these issues in line with the firm’s risk framework. This role will specifically focus on in-house matters relating to the firm’s data, technology, innovation and more general IT environment so will suit someone with experience in Technology law looking to work in a collaborative and high performing team in a top tier law firm environment.
The Office of General Counsel (OGC) is the firm’s in-house legal team. In general terms, the OGC provides legal advice to the firm on a variety of issues, facilitates the firm’s compliance with applicable laws and legal best practice and assists the firm meet its risk management objectives.
This is a specialist role which will operate with some autonomy and specifically support in-house legal matters relating to the firm’s technology approach, with key responsibilities to include:
