Description Invariant, a bipartisan government relations and communications firm providing strategic advice to companies, trade associations, non-profits, and individuals, seeks a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Operations Senior Associate to ensure accurate data collection, management, and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team. You’ll work closely with the COO and senior staff to manage the firm’s Harvest time-tracking software and generate reports that inform business decisions. You will also assist the operations team with projects as needed. What you’ll do System Administration Manage Harvest setup, including user accounts, permissions, project codes, tasks, and reporting structures. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and liaise with Harvest support as needed. Ensure compliance with firm policies for time entry and reporting. Monitor time entry throughout the month, ensuring deadlines are met and data is complete. Meet with senior staff to review and enter time to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal requirements. Generate mid-month and end-of-month reports on time entry for senior leadership review. Manage the firm’s time entry platform (Harvest), including troubleshooting, optimizing processes, and onboarding new users, clients, and projects. Identify and analyze employee and client hours trends to inform operational and strategic decisions. Collaborate with teams to improve efficiencies and strengthen reporting capabilities. Provide support to firm projects as needed. Who you are Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Comfortable working with data, spotting patterns, and surfacing insights for leadership. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Skilled communicator who can work across teams and manage both up and down. Proactive problem solver who can meet deadlines while maintaining strong working relationships. Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Experience with finance, accounting, time-tracking or project management software (preferably Harvest) is a plus. Prior operations, finance, or administrative experience is desirable but not required. The target salary range for this role is $75,000 – 95,000 USD annually. The base salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and market data.
