Job Description Experience:• Detailed Knowledge of Sanctions, PEP and Adverse Media Screening• At least 1-3 years into Sanctions Screening• Understanding of Financial Crime Policies and Documentations, knowledge on basic banking terminologies, Onboarding/Compliance/AML/KYC experience• Fundamental understanding of MS Office tools • ACAMS Certification or any other Financial Crime certifications, desirableROLE OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE• Accurate disposition of Sanctions/PEP/Adverse Media alerts that get generated through the automated system.DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, WHEREVER APPLICABLE • Conduct Sanctions, PEP and Adverse Media Screening of customer accounts using specialized tools & databases.• Analyze screening results to identify matches with sanctioned individuals, entities or countries• Support in conducting research using various databases and sources to verify client information.• Discount/escalate alerts basis regulatory/policy guidance and maintain accurate documentation.• Understanding of financial regulations including but not limited to AML & KYC requirements.• Working knowledge of Sanctions tools like Actimize, Dow Jones, Factiva, World Check, LexisNexis.• Ability to perform multiple complex task simultaneously.Process Related: 100% adherence to Accuracy & Productivity People Related: Discipline in Shift Adherence and Punctuality in Shift timingsReporting and Documentation (e.g. logs, reports, etc.) : Working knowledge on MS Office toolsTraining and updating knowledge:• Good Communication – Written and Verbal• Good grasping ability• Attention to detail• Good Analytical Skills• Logical Reasoning• Commitment and reliability• Team players with a ready disposition to learnOthers:• The role will require majority of time spent working on a computer using a variety of applications for different scenarios• Proactively identify and participate in continuous improvement opportunities • Adhere to WNS specific policies and compliance regulations• Be professional & courteous in maintaining high level of integrity and confidentiality at all times• Flexible to operate in a 24/7 operation• Flexibility to work in rotational shifts and weekend working• Excellent written and spoken EnglishCOMPETENCIES & SKILL SET• Basic Computer literacy• Analytical Skills• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills• Customer Focus• Commitment and reliability• Professional mannerisms Qualifications Graduate – BCom, MCom, BA, MA, BBA, MBA, desirable
