Role description: The Placemaking sector within our Architecture and Urbanism team is expanding. We are seeking a Senior Associate or Associate Principal Masterplanner to help drive our next phase of growth. This role will involve both client-side design assurance and contractor-side technical delivery, working across multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects in the UK Role accountabilities: Lead the delivery of estate optimisation plans, establishment management plans, and site masterplans: Develop and deliver innovative, data-driven masterplans for large estates, campuses, and portfolios which align with client objectives and long term aspirations Assess current estate(s) performance, identify opportunities for rationalisation, enhancement, and efficiency, and recommend actionable strategies that maximise asset value. Prepare establishment management plans, including space planning asset lifecycle management, and future-proofing strategies to support long-term operational capabilities on client sites. Lead diverse multidisciplinary teams including liaison with project management and commercial functions. Facilitate workshops, consultations, and presentations with clients, user groups, and partner organisations to ensure alignment and buy-in throughout the duration of the project(s). Work with colleagues within Arcadis and external clients to secure follow-on work from estate management/rationalisation plans. Engage directly with clients in a technical advisory position, providing clear, strategic asset management leadership and communicating complex solutions effectively. Support in the preparation of fee proposals, and tender submissions through authoring responses to technical questions Manage project programmes, budgets, and resource allocation to meet delivery targets. Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and design excellence Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors Degree or higher in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or another relevant field. Experience of working in the defence sector is desired but not a requirement Eligible to achieve NSV clearance isa requirement Proven leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
