About the Roles As a Senior Associate, you will lead complex policy and project work to support major government initiatives, service delivery reforms, and effective decision-making by providing high-level, evidence-based advice to the Premier and Department executives. This includes reviewing proposals, consulting across sectors, mentoring team members, and representing the Department in intergovernmental forums to ensure NSW’s policy objectives are accurately reflected. Conduct in-depth research and stakeholder engagement to inform policy development, implementation, and evaluation aligned with government priorities. You will join our Delivery and Engagement Group, Social and Community Branch, Connected Communities team building community strength and cohesion. We're Looking For: Project Management: Experience delivering complex projects across agencies Policy Development: Proven ability to research, develop and evaluate policy Stakeholder Engagement: Strong collaboration skills across sectors and communities and an understanding of navigating stakeholder sensitivities Communication: Skilled in preparing briefings, submissions, and clear advice Adaptability: Comfortable working in dynamic environments with shifting priorities. In addition to the core requirements, it is desired that the Senior Associate possesses the following skills: Understanding of qualitative research methods A strong understanding of community engagement Knowledge of systems thinking and place-based practices desirable A broad understanding of various social policy challenges (not limited to social cohesion) We value diverse experiences.
