    Description
A Senior Associate Researcher position is currently available within the laboratory of Dr. Doris Germain within Tisch Cancer Institute, Division of Hematology/Medical Oncology. The lab focuses on breast cancer. The two areas of interest is the link between pregnancy and breast cancer and the role of the mitochondrial unfolded protein response (UPRmt) in breast cancer progression. We use mainly a combination of cell biology and mouse genetics approaches.
Under moderate supervision, duties include conducting routine and standardized experiments using advanced techniques specific to the research project, analyzing and assisting in interpreting moderately complex results, assisting students and postdoctoral fellows with their projects as well as general lab maintenance.
The Tisch Cancer Institute is a vital component of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and plays a key role in the Mount Sinai Health System, which is one of the largest health care systems in the nation. We are a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated center and provide a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatments and clinical breakthroughs that may one day put an end to cancer.
