How Will You Contribute?
As a member of our MEA & SUBSEA EMEA Management team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to enhance your business sales skills while contributing to strategic initiatives, building an extensive network, and gaining deep insight across various business functions. You will play a crucial role in our early career initiatives, collaborating with colleagues across regions on our social responsibility and sustainability efforts.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the MEA & SUBSEA EMEA Management team with key business initiatives/ priorities to achieve our ambition for growth and expansion across the region
  • Leverage your experience and strengths to contribute innovative and valuable ideas to our business initiatives, while being receptive to opportunities and carving your own unique path within Ciena.
  • Work cross-functionally with colleagues on a variety of internal and customer-facing projects, engaging in a broad spectrum of business activities across sales, finance, legal, commercial, engineering, and more. Utilize these experiences to make a significant impact within Ciena
  • Take on lead roles in our social responsibility, early career, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Immerse yourself in strategic projects and business campaigns, collaborating with global teams to drive our business forward, foster a sales-oriented focus, and infuse fresh ideas into our customer interactions and performance behaviors.
  • Analyse metrics and provide insights and recommendations to support business decision making and management
  • Offer support to business pillars in the region, utilizing your strengths and aligning with business needs.
  • Support and participate in EMEA sales training initiatives
  • Develop communication materials to aid the MEA & SUBSEA EMEA Sales Leader and stimulate engaging and motivational internal communications.
  • Prepare and provide support for content in key strategic MEA & SUBSEA EMEA meetings. Collaborate with the marketing team to bolster initiatives that heighten the Ciena brand and customer engagement, including business events.
  • Develop standard templates & formats to support efficient business management
  • Develop knowledge and experience of sales forecasting and key indicators

The Must Haves

  • This is a great role for someone with a passion for sales and business performance, who is early in career; two - four years after graduation.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships
  • Ability and aptitude to handle competing priorities
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence to work across different cultures and regions
  • Tech Savvy - an expert in Excel and PowerPoint with an ability to manage Salesforce tasks, and strong technical proficiency.

Assets

  • Excellent communication skills. English is a must and Arabic will be an Asset

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
