Overview Manufacturing Expert & Stewardship Leader position is important to ensure the safe operation of a chemical plant, monitor and control key process variables, promote compliance with applicable regulations and safety KPIs, leads the field review of safety and environmental policies, anticipate and mitigate potential emerging problems and ensure that the unit operates in accordance with its objectives. Responsibilities Development and implementation of a daily approach in ESHA. Involves and motivates the Core Team in the use and monitoring of leading safety indicators. Evaluates the application of safety procedures in the field, manages feedback, and continuously reviews results to prevent system deterioration. Coordinates with the ESHA facilitator to identify and eliminate safety barriers. Develops safety strategies and maintains close communication with the DEL. Audits life-critical permits, conducting operations, and follows up on behavioral observations. Monitors established environmental and safety parameters and quickly escalates any deviations or violations that may have occurred. Evaluates and addresses hazard recognitions and near misses. Performs root cause analysis (RCA) and escalates issues that cannot be resolved. Trains Core Team members on safety programs, initiatives, etc. Generates improvement ideas and implements projects derived from these ideas. Promotes assessment of the unit's safety culture and the change agent program. Ensures compliance with the unit's legal obligations. Responsible for developing and training CONOPS in the safety section. Qualifications Degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering field. 1-3 years in industry. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety programs. Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and experience on problem solving and troubleshooting using diverse methodologies (RCA, tap root, Ishikawa, etc.). Required competencies: effective communication, conflict management, ambiguity management, managing complex decisions, quality decision making, strategic mindset & building effective teams. English level: B1.
