Description
Location: Tauranga The Role We’re looking for an experienced Property Senior Associate to join our market-leading Property team, based in our Tauranga office. In this role, you’ll work with a diverse client base including property developers, investors, local government and private clients, providing advice on a wide range of property transactions, trusts, asset protection and estate planning. You’ll manage your own files and client relationships, working closely with partners while providing strategic legal advice across complex matters. As a senior member of the team, you’ll also supervise and mentor junior lawyers, delegate work where appropriate, and contribute to maintaining the high technical standards of the practice. You’ll play an active role in client relationship management and contribute to business development initiatives that support the continued growth of the property and private client practice. This is a senior position with strong progression prospects for the right person. What You’ll Bring At least 7 years’ PQE in property and private client law Experience managing a range of property transactions and client relationships Expertise across conveyancing, trusts, estate planning, and asset protection Strong drafting, communication, and problem-solving skills The ability to work independently with sound commercial judgment Experience mentoring junior lawyers and supporting team development A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering excellent client service Local government or Māori trust experience would be an advantage, but is not essential Our Property Team (including Private Client) works incredibly well together and enjoys collaborating with other teams in the firm across all our offices.
