About the Role Reporting to the Associate Director, Transport & Fleet Operations, you will provide leadership and expert guidance across the transport & Fleet operations function and lead projects that support organisational objectives. You will also have responsibility for leading a large operational team (approximately 20–30 direct reports) and helping drive a professional, customer-focused transport and fleet operations. The Senior Associate, Transport & Fleet Operations helps manage the day-to-day operations of the motor vehicle fleet and supports a team of drivers, making sure transport services run smoothly for senior executives, including the Premier and Ministry. The role assists in maintaining safety standards and compliance, uses data to improve processes and efficiency, helps negotiate with suppliers, and supports the use of digital technology to streamline logistics and keep costs down. Executive Stakeholder Support: Deliver high-level, responsive logistics and transport services to the Premier and Ministry, managing complex scheduling and rostering to meet the needs of high-profile clients. Project Management: Deliver end-to-end project work (research, consultation, analysis, problem solving and recommendations). Compliance: Commit to improving fleet safety and legal compliance, including applying relevant safety standards. Fleet management: Fleet management, including oversight of vehicle leasing and servicing, supplier coordination, cost and usage monitoring, compliance with safety requirements, and advice to business areas.
