Job Description We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Associate - Urban Designer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of urban environments through innovative and sustainable design solutions. Lead and contribute to the development of comprehensive urban design projects, from concept to implementation Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create visionary master plans and urban regeneration strategies Conduct site analysis and research to inform design decisions and ensure context-sensitive solutions Develop detailed design guidelines and standards for urban development projects Create compelling visual presentations, including 2D and 3D renderings, to communicate design concepts effectively Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of urban design projects Engage with stakeholders, including government officials, developers, and community members, to gather input and present design proposals Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in urban design, sustainability, and smart city technologies Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment Qualifications Master's degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, or Architecture Minimum of 5 years of experience in urban design or a related field Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS software Strong 3D modeling and visualization skills Excellent knowledge of urban planning and design principles, with a focus on sustainable and smart city concepts Experience working on large-scale urban development projects Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Professional certification in urban design or planning (e.g., AICP) is preferred Experience with public space design and transportation planning Familiarity with local urban development regulations and practices in Saudi Arabia is a plus Willingness to travel and work on projects throughout the region Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
