Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this senior leadership position is pivotal in driving the financial integrity and strategic direction of the organization. The role goes beyond transactional oversight, encompassing the development and execution of robust accounting frameworks that ensure compliance with Australian financial regulations and standards. It involves leading initiatives to optimize financial processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and provide actionable insights that support executive decision-making. By fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance team, this position contributes to the organization’s long-term growth, operational excellence, and governance. What You’ll Do Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting Complete monthly journals including accruals, on cost adjustments, and job cost adjustments. Assist to ensure all monthly reports are run, per calendar dates each month Ensuring all payments are finalized via Jobpac through to bank Complete all balance sheet reconciliations monthly, and submit for approval Daily bank reconciliations Perform credit card reconciliations Manage the fixed asset register Assist with lodgment and payment of all weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly tax obligations Reconciliation of all payroll on-costs e.g. payroll tax, workers compensation Undertake any ad-hoc financial analysis or reporting, as directed by Finance Manager or CFO Requirements What You Bring We’re looking for someone who: Experience in-house in a commercial organization (not just experience in accounting/professional services firms) 10 yrs experience with Australian organizations, ideally within construction/industrial or related project-oriented industries Jobpac experience ideal, but not essential They will have operated autonomously at Accountant level Benefits Why You’ll Love Working Here HMO, Dental, and Life Insurance for you and one free dependent from day one (with the option to enroll additional dependents) Paid Leaves: Birthday, Vacation, Medical, and Maternity (up to 6 Vacation Leaves are convertible to cash on your anniversary) Employee Engagement Activities: Year-End Party, Family Day, Team Building, and more!
