Behaviour is looking for a Senior Audio Programmer to fill a new critical role on Dead by Daylight. Dead by Daylight (DbD) is a game as a service (GaaS), and the systems team is part of a larger production that includes other programming teams, game design, art, animation, and other disciplines.
As a Senior Audio Programmer, you will play a crucial role in the technical management of the audio pipeline for Dead by Daylight. You will collaborate with the Audio Director and sound designers to achieve the development vision. You will develop new systems, improve existing pipelines, and solve technical issues to elevate the game’s audio quality, we use Wwise as our audio solution.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical aspect of the sound design pipeline for Dead by Daylight in collaboration with the audio director;
- Collaborate closely with sound designers to help them achieve their medium and long-term development vision;
- Conduct research and develop new systems that support sound design in the game;
- Improve current system pipelines related to sound design;
- Solve problems related to sound design in the game, such as downloading sound banks, sound element leaks, voice usage, and improving performance and memory usage.
