Excite Communications in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking a Senior Audio Visual Installation Field Technician to collaborate with project managers. The Senior Field Technician will ensure all necessary coordination is accomplished to meet schedule requirements and that all systems are operational, tested, programmed, and labeled. This role involves low-voltage cable and device installation, troubleshooting, and service. The typical customer environments include renovations of existing corporate environments, as well as new construction sites. You will be involved in all aspects of the installation and configuring of a variety of commercial audio-visual installations including Conference Centers, Boardrooms, and Video Walls as well as other low-voltage systems.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Safely perform tasks using tools, ladders, and other equipment, including pulling and terminating low-voltage cables, installing devices, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Report punctually to assigned project locations with the appropriate tools and understanding of daily tasks, ensuring high-quality completion, system testing, labeling, and resolution of deficiencies.
• Accountability and focus on-site, lead with instruction, and collaborate with the team to problem-solve.
• Document work completed and participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and continuing education/training programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in installation of AV Equipment in corporate environments.
• Experience in electrical/electronics, low-voltage cable installation, troubleshooting, and construction-related jobs.
• Knowledge of low-voltage system/data cabling infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic PC knowledge.
• Team-oriented, safety-conscious, with a positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Proficient in written and verbal English.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift cable boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass a drug screening.
• Eligible to drive a company vehicle.
• Ability to obtain security clearance as required by customers.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Post-secondary school training preferred.
• Prior low-voltage cable installation experience.
• The ability to read blueprints.
• Basic programming skills are a plus.
• CTS Certifications.
• Familiar with Q-Sys, Crestron, Microsoft Teams, Biamp, and Extron.
