The Internal Audit & SOX (IAS) department has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Audit Data Analyst on the Global Investment & Finance Audit Services Team (GIFAS). Within the organization, IAS is seen as a critical line of defense for the organization. In this role you’ll be acting as a subject matter expert and liaison between your GIFAS team members and a central team in IAS comprised of solutions developers and data engineers. With these teams you will collaboratively identify, prioritize, design, build and deliver highly effective analytic results and insights for audit engagements across our Finance division. You’ll also work collaboratively with IAS audit leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities for data analysis or continuous assurance. Then you’ll liaise amongst the IAS teams to design, build and deliver analytic routines that support the assurance objectives with increased efficiency, coverage, and insights. We look for individuals who can think critically and conceptually, have excellent project management, relationship management, influence, communication, judgement, and decision-making skills. In addition to the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate has: Knowledge and proficiency with the following tools & technologies: Tableau, PowerBI, Python, SQL, AWS, RPA (UiPath), Database Platforms (Oracle, SQL Server) Strong understanding of data analytics techniques and their application across business processes Ability to communicate effectively with both non-technical auditors and technical developers / engineers Planning and organizational skills with ability to successfully execute and deliver concurrent priorities Ability to handle ambiguity and achieve success in a fast-paced, complex work environment Strong working knowledge of audit, risk, and controls with a relevant certification is a plus but not required (CISA, CIA, CPA) Responsibilities: Collaborate with audit / SOX teams and manage the identification, organization, and prioritization of data analytics ideas to deploy data analytics resources most effectively and efficiently Partner with audit / SOX teams in effectively building data analytics, visualized reporting, and automation utilities across all phases of the audit / SOX lifecycle (annual planning, risk assessments, individual engagements, continuous monitoring, etc.) Periodically engage with business area key stakeholders to share work completed and value delivered Identify opportunities and provide analytic design specifications to the IAS central team for the development of more complex and repeatable analytics Consult, educate and empower audit / SOX team members to identify analytic opportunities and utilize analytic tools and techniques Support departmental data analytics transformation workstreams and initiatives Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum of five years related work experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience (e.g., MIS, Information Technology, Data Sciences, Data / Business Analytics, Finance, Business Administration) Special Factors: Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
