Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant who holds an ACCA or CA qualification with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance. You will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Education:
- ACCA or CA qualification is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
- Experience in financial reporting, general ledger management, and tax compliance.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP, IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare journal entries and adjustments as needed.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Monitor and ensure timely collection of receivables and payment of payables.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and file tax returns (corporate, VAT, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Liaise with tax authorities and auditors as necessary.
- Internal Controls:
- Implement and maintain effective internal control procedures.
- Conduct periodic reviews to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.
- Financial Analysis:
- Perform financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Assist in internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide documentation and support for audit requests.
