Due to the anticipated expansion of its Audit Department, PSB Boisjoli is currently seeking several Senior Auditors to be assigned to mandates within the Audit and Assurance Group. In this role, the selected candidates will, among other things, review and compile documentation for various engagements, delegate tasks to intermediate and junior staff members and oversee their work, as well as prepare, review, and finalize personal and corporate tax returns.
Responsibilities

THE QUALIFYING CANDIDATES WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING:

  • Plan engagements under supervision: contact clients; coordinate staff in preparation for fieldwork
  • Supervise inventory counts
  • Responsible for file completion including preparation of client meeting notes and finalizing the engagement (i.e. subsequent file adjustments, clear review notes from partner/manager, and ensure all required documentation and correspondence is received and filed appropriately)
  • Design/review appropriate procedures based on the scope, risk, materiality and significance guidelines of the engagement
  • GST/QST: understand basic concepts (registration), credit/input tax restrictions, and identification of potential issues related to basic thresholds
  • Corporate and personal tax: ability to complete a tax return; understanding of capital tax rules and ability to identify potential issues

Qualifications

  • CPA auditor designation
  • A minimum 3-year work experience in a firm
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Strong technical skills
  • Sense of organization and priorities
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Team work oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good judgment
  • Good knowledge of Excel/Caseware/Caseview/Taxprep
