Position: Senior Accountant Salary: PHP 70,000 - 80,000 per month Working Hours & Conditions: Aligned with Australian hours; full-time (remote) Holidays: AU Holidays OVERVIEW: We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant to take full ownership of their day-to-day financial operations, specifically focusing on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and localized tax compliance. This role is vital in ensuring seamless subcontractor management and robust financial reporting as the company undergoes an exciting period of growth. Operating in a dedicated accounting capacity, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the business. RESPONSIBILITIES: Accounts Management: Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including processing internal payments and invoicing. Subcontractor Finances: Oversee subcontractor finances, ensuring accurate tracking, timely disbursements, and seamless financial interactions with clients. Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, and lodge Australian Tax Office (ATO) filings accurately and in accordance with regulatory timelines. GST Management: Manage Goods and Services Tax (GST) obligations, reconciliations, and reporting. System Oversight: Utilize Xero as the primary accounting platform to handle daily ledger entries, tracking, and account management. Financial Reporting: Generate high-level financial reports to provide transparency into operational finances, distinct from project management systems. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Proven mid-to-senior level accounting experience, specifically working within or supporting Australian accounting firms or businesses. Taxation Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of Australian taxation laws, with a verified track record of handling ATO filings and GST management. Software Proficiency: Advanced, hands-on experience using Xero accounting software is mandatory. Industry Context: Direct experience managing subcontractor finances, client invoicing, and operational reporting, preferably within construction or related industries. Autonomy & Urgency: Ability to work independently, manage high-volume transactional data, and adapt quickly to tight organizational deadlines. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with administrative officers and senior leadership.
