ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE OF THE SENIOR AUTHORISED PERSON:

MOD Boscombe Down is a unique operational site featuring the longest military runway in the UK. Primarily focusing on providing testing, evaluation and support services for aviation and aerospace systems. Renowned for its extensive flight testing capabilities the site plays a vital role in the UK’s aviation defence contributing to the development, testing and airworthiness of military aircraft enhancing operational readiness and effectiveness.

The Role
As a Senior Authorised Person, you will provide support and subject matter expertise to deliver planned or requested activities in order to effectively deliver high quality operations service. You will be responsible for driving improvement and supporting a network of Site AP’s, Facility Managers and Integrated Delivery Teams with technical advice and guidance on the following High Hazard Areas:
Day-to-day, you will lead and embed operational Safe System of Work improvement programmes, identify best practise across Operations and work with teams to ensure a consistency in management and delivery approach.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Delivering high quality Operations by interpreting knowledge of policy framework Engaging with stakeholders to ensure customer and business needs are satisfied and issues are mitigate
Resolving a wide range of complex queries and support others with the resolution of more complex issues, escalating where appropriat
Driving technical standards, assist with site audits and technical support and maintain the appropriate levels of competence
Championing best practice and encourage others to demonstrate appropriate leadership behaviours to promote a positive culture
