Position Overview We are seeking a senior automation and controls engineer to design and implement cutting-edge robotic automation systems. You will work alongside our robotics and machine learning engineers to deploy the Skild Brain into a wide variety of production settings. You will also help create automated solutions and testing systems to help us scale our robot fleet. Your work will directly impact the large scale integration and adoption of our general purpose robotic brain for practical economic problems around the world. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions leveraging our AI models for various real-world problems Develop solutions leveraging PLCs, vision sensors, and/or other systems to assist with large-scale robot brain deployment and testing to help us improve our models Collaborate with robotics and machine learning engineers and scientists to integrate our existing robotic stack into production environments Preferred Qualifications More than 3+ years of industry experience Degree in ME/EE/Robotics/Controls or equivalent experience. Very comfortable with PLCs, vision, sensors, actuators, and end-to-end component integration Built, launched, and sustained production automation and robotic systems on real lines Knowledge of industrial standards and plant protocols Strong systems-level understanding of the various software modules and their interfaces in typical robotic applications Base Salary Range $100,000—$300,000 USD
