Candidates without NORSOK experience from operator and valid work permit in Norway will not be evaluated Location: Stavanger, Norway Language Requirements: Norwegian and English Work Schedule: Full-time Duration: February 2026 – December 2027 About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Safety & Automation Systems (SAS) Engineer to join our team for a temporary assignment in Stavanger. This role will focus on planning, executing, and supporting modifications to our Safety and Automation Systems, ensuring operational reliability and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Plan and execute modifications for Safety and Automation Systems (SAS). Provide technical support to resolve direct and short-term operational issues. Ensure all Life Cycle Information (LCI) is kept up-to-date. Maintain close cooperation with critical suppliers and contractors. Perform defect elimination and support Root Cause Failure Analysis for production losses. Manage costs within agreed budgets for assigned activities. Actively participate in the automation engineering community, including team meetings. Required Expertise: Master of Science or equivalent degree in Automation, preferably with a specialization in Control Systems. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design and operation of Safety and Automation Systems (SAS), ideally within the oil and gas industry. Mandatory experience with ABB control systems. In-depth knowledge of relevant discipline standards and guidelines. Systematic, structured, and reliable approach to daily tasks. Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
