Job Description Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer – Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript) Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid) Experience: 7–9 years About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer with strong experience in Playwright and hands‑on expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript. The ideal candidate will lead automation initiatives, contribute to test strategy, streamline CI/CD automation practices, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams. Experience in ERP or manufacturing domain environments will be an added advantage. This is a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, offering the flexibility to balance both in‑office collaboration and remote productivity. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test suites using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript. Lead automation planning, framework enhancements, and architectural decisions. Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams to ensure high‑quality delivery. Implement, optimize, and maintain automated test execution pipelines within CI/CD systems. Perform root‑cause analysis for defects and drive test automation best practices. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to scaling automation across teams. Work on end‑to‑end test coverage for web applications; ERP or manufacturing workflows is a plus. Ensure documentation, reporting, and communication of testing activities and results. Qualifications 7–9 years of overall experience in software testing, with strong focus on automation. Hands‑on expertise with Playwright (mandatory). Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript. Solid understanding of automation frameworks, debugging, and test design principles. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Good understanding of REST APIs and API automation. Ability to work in agile development environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good-to-Have Skills Experience in ERP, manufacturing, or supply chain systems. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
